Christina and I towed our little Catalina 22 sailboat up to the Puget Sound for a long weekend to ourselves. Light was fading as we put in at Tacoma, closing off a long rainy day of travel. After a night in Gig Harbor we headed North to Blake Island for two more nights.
Blake is an absolutely magical place! The rain broke enough for us to stretch our legs on occasion, but we really didn't mind hanging out inside the boat next to the toasty propane heater, reading books and gently rocking to the motion of the water.
As we headed back toward Tacoma the clouds began to break up, rays of light cascading down onto the ocean. Amazing.
